Coastal Friends Mangalore (R) is a non-profit organization founded on the core values of true friendship and social service. From humble beginnings as a small WhatsApp group of like-minded individuals from the Beary community, we have grown into a vibrant, community-driven organization with a diverse and dedicated family of members. Our mission is to unite people, forge lasting bonds of genuine friendship, and engage in meaningful community service that uplifts and empowers those in need.
Our journey began in March 2018, when Sirajuddin Parladka, the founder, met Mr. Saif Sultan and Mr. Sharif Abbas Valal in Dubai. This meeting, facilitated through social media connections, sparked the creation of an organization that would soon grow into a beacon of hope and solidarity. From that initial WhatsApp group, we’ve expanded into a close-knit community of individuals, all bonded by authentic friendships and a shared passion for service.

At Coastal Friends Mangalore (R), friendship is not just a word—it’s the foundation of everything we do. We believe that genuine connections formed through face-to-face interactions are essential to building a stronger, more connected society. To be a part of our organization, one must not only know each other but have met in person, ensuring that all relationships are founded on trust, sincerity, and mutual respect.
Our motto, “Friendship for a Cause”, reflects our belief that when we come together as friends, we can achieve much more than just personal connections. We harness the power of our friendships to make meaningful, lasting changes in the world around us. Whether it’s supporting local communities, organizing charitable events, or engaging in uplifting initiatives, we strive to act as a united force for good.

We are more than just a friendship group—we are a driving force for positive change, committed to uplifting those in need and making a tangible impact in the lives of many
We believe in fostering responsibility within our community. As part of our innovative approach, we impose a fine for deleted messages in our WhatsApp group. The proceeds from these fines are directed toward our social service initiatives, not only encouraging accountability but also raising funds to support our charitable efforts.
Bringing joy and hope by spending a meaningful day
we have held an annual cricket tournament with the slogan “ಗೆಳೆಯರಿಂದ ಗೆಳೆಯರಗಾಗಿ ಗೆಳೆಯರೆೇ ನಡೆಸುವ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್”.
we operate 30 medical beds across the Dakshina Kannada district, offering them to underprivileged patients free of charge.
we launched “Santwanada Sanchara – A Day with Bedridden”, a heartfelt initiative that brought comfort and joy to bedridden patients in the Dakshina Kannada district. This program aimed to provide therapeutic outings and bring emotional relief to those who are unable to leave their homes. We recognized the mental and emotional toll that illness and confinement can have on individuals, and through this program, we sought to brighten their lives and offer much-needed companionship.
On December 14, 2024, we are excited to launch the second edition of “Santwanada Sanchara”, this time focusing on orphans. We are organizing a special day out for orphaned children, aimed at bringing joy, comfort, and hope to those who have lost their families. By sharing a day full of fun and care, we aim to remind these children that they are not forgotten and that they too are loved and valued members of our society. This event will coincide with the launch of our new website, marking another milestone in our journey of service.
